I've enjoyed the privilege of taking photos at many different parkruns and today I was able to add Ashton Court to the list. Ashton Court is just brim full of beautiful things and glorious views to capture on camera, and the parkrunners were almost a distraction, but I managed to focus on them most of the time . .

Now that Ashton Court is my home parkrun I'm looking forward to taking photos there on more Saturdays, whilst recording the changing seasons at the same time . .

Before we get on with the photos, here's a short film of the runners forging up the hill, just past the 1 kilometre point . .

When I arrived the sun was still low in the sky, and Geoff had just started setting everything up . . but it wasn't long before help was at hand . .

I'd decided to take photos on the hill that is an inescapable feature of Ashton Court parkrun, and so I began to make my way up to the 1k/4k point before most parkrunners had even arrived . .

. . I found somewhere to take my photos and laid in wait for the runners . . it was quite peaceful in the morning sunshine . . when suddenly I heard a shrill whistle . . and I knew the runners were on their way . .

. . and here they come . .

Once everyone had run by it didn't seem to take long before they began to come back down again . . led home by Tom, who was to finish first here for the first time . . and Katie, first lady in her first ever parkrun . . and of course, the 107 other parkrunners and sundry dogs too . .

When most of the parkrunners had gone by on their way down, I scrambled down Elson's Gully towards the finish where I took a few more photos before joining my friends in the Mansion's Coach House Café for a much needed coffee . .
