Everyone was a winner on Wednesday evening at the Tring Midsummer Fun Run. Not only did the threatening rain keep away, but from first to last, youngest to oldest and slowest to fastest, everyone who took part found one of these medals waiting for them at the finish as a memento of their achievement . .

The first thing to do of course was to register and collect a race number . .

and having done so you could look around and enjoy the evening . .

as ever there was much to see and do, with all the local schools having a tent or a gazebo with something interesting inside . .

and also as always, the cricket field was filled with runners, their families and their freinds . .

but there was still plenty of room for some playful dogs to have fun too . .

and here's the last runner of the evening, making her way back into the field towards the finish . . and she was a winner too, just like everyone else . .
