I took a different route to The Highway this year - couldn't tell you why and with my lack of navigational skills I was taking a chance . . so I was relieved to see that even if I was in the wrong place, there would be something to watch . . 

seeing these signs of course encouraged me to think I really was in the right place . .

until I saw these signs . . backed up by The Law . . and which island? We live on an island don't we? Had spectating been banned and I hadn't noticed . .

well if it had been, I'm pleased to say that hundreds of thousands of people ignored the ban and came along to watch this year's London Marathon . .

we were between here and here . . and usually we're the other side of half way so there had been a change in the course somewhere in the second half . .

and this is us . . speed camera at the ready . .

there was more than just runners to watch . . there were things in the sky . .

the first aid people had their own bike races . .

whilst the Tractor Marathon had a disappointing entry of just two this year . . such a shame . .
